Five elements are five characteristics of chi that change over time. The five Feng Shui elements are but different forms of the same chi energy.

Each element has a distinct chi character and should be studied to improve your well-being and harmony in your home.

Fire

Fire produces earth, therefore use fire element if you were born in earth year.

Fire destroys metal, therefore avoid using fire if you were born in metal year.

Earth

Earth produces Metal, therefore use earth element if you were born in metal year.

Earth destroys water, therefore avoid earth if you were born in water year.

Metal

Metal produces Water, therefore use metal if you were born in water year.

Metal destroys wood, therefore avoid metal if you were born in wood year.

Water

Water produces Wood, therefore use water if you were born in wood year.
